Background and objectives mission

The assignment is part of the consolidation of accounting activities into two Shared Services Centers (SSCs): one in Bordeaux for the French subsidiaries, and the other in Holland for the foreign subsidiaries (UK, Belgium, etc.). The aim is to rationalize and harmonize accounting management through a common Core Model deployed via the SAP S/4HANA ERP for our customer's various Business Units. The main objective is to steer the operational implementation of this CSP, integrating the digitization and reliability of accounting processes, thus guaranteeing better quality and uniformity of operations.

approach adopted

The project began with a preparation and organization phase focused on structuring the CSP and sizing the target workforce required for its efficient operation. At the same time, the accounting processes were audited, made more reliable and then digitized using the capabilities offered by SAP S/4HANA. Particular attention was paid to drafting procedures in line with internal audit requirements, and to clearly formalizing the roles and responsibilities of each SSC division. Deployment included targeted training for accounting teams in the use of SAP S/4HANA, as well as enhanced support during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and user acceptance phases.

Benefits obtained

  • Creation of a structured accounting SSC, aligned with the SAP S/4 HANA Core Morel for French and international subsidiaries
  • Clarification of roles and responsibilities, enhancing team coordination and efficiency
